We assemble all our small buildings on to concrete blocks and pressure treated timber bearers. Larger buildings can be assembled onto slabbed areas or concrete pads. We can prepare these areas for you.

If you would like an estimate for base work, please ask. Costs can vary greatly depending on whether a large amount of soil requires to be excavated and removed to municipal dumps.

A suitably prepared area should look like the picture above. Make sure that the spirit level lies straight from front to back, side to side and across the diagonals.

If your site is marginally off, this can be rectified by the use of small timber or felt shims which we bring with us. If the site is off by more than 4" (100mm) then we need to use extra blocks. If this is needed at the front of the building it may mean a greater step up into the building which can be inconvenient for you. If in doubt please ask.
