" British men serve time in their shed" (from The Herald, 30 July 2011)
British men spend three years and one month in the shed during their lifetime, according to a new poll. Home shopping retailer 24studio.co.uk questioned more than 2000 men to find they spend an average of 6.5 hours in the shed or garage each week." - Better make sure it's a good one! Grannie Moves Hoose
At the age of eighty-one, Grant's mum, Margaret, began to feel that the East Inchmichael farmhouse she had lived in for over fifty years was becoming a bit big for her. She asked our Grant to fix her a wee timber hoose at the bottom of the garden. With permissions in place, work began on site in late January. A true team effort involved Gillies & Mackay Ltd on construction and Grant's brother Lindsay Gillies on project management including kitchen installation and organising the rest of the Gillies family into decorating and furnishing details. Last Friday saw Grant hand over the keys to his mum with lashings of Cairn o' Mohr cider and scrummy sponge cake to celebrate.

A happy, hardworking group.
A lovely way to finish a Friday.
