LEVELLING
AND ACCESS
Prior to delivery you should ensure that your site is level
and square.
Access to the base must be clear and unobstructed
prior to our arrival.
Prices on our list allow for carrying of panels up to a maximum of 50
yards.
It is not always convenient to try and carry buildings through garages,
over walls, or over next door's garden!
If access is not clear or the site not level, we shall leave the building
for you to assemble yourself.
If you require us to return and erect the building for you, an extra
charge will be levied, payable in advance and at a minimum of £50.00.
If you have a problem with your site, or have any doubts about levelling,
please let us know well in advance.
-
SITE
FOR DELIVERY
Please ensure that there is someone available to show us where
you would like your shed positioned.
If no-one can be available, please provide us with a site plan prior
to the delivery date.
If we do not receive a site plan and your site is not absolutely evident,
we shall leave the building for you to assemble yourself. If we need
to return to assemble the building for you, an extra charge will be
levied, payable in advance and at a minimum of £50.00.
-
PAYMENT
Payment is generally made at point of delivery, however if your building is over £2000.00, a 10% deposit is required on order. If you prefer
to pay by credit card please arrange this through the sales office.
We accept Mastercard, Visa and Switch. Cheques should be made payable
to Gillies & Mackay Ltd. All prices are quoted in Pounds sterling
and inclusive of VAT. Payments not made within one calendar
month following delivery will be subject to a 5% surcharge per calendar
month on the outstanding amount.
-
RISK
The risk in the goods shall pass to the Customer on delivery.
If goods are being uplifted, the risk in the goods shall pass when
the Customer uplifts them from the workshop, at which time the goods
should be signed for.
-
b)
The Customer shall inspect the goods within a reasonable time after
their receipt and shall be deemed to have accepted the goods, unless
within 10 days after their receipt the Customer shall have notified
the Seller that the goods are rejected. (This does not however affect
the customers statutory rights.)
-
c)
If no such action has been taken, Gillies & Mackay Ltd shall consider
the products being as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for
their purposes and may not accept any reject at a later date.
-
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations are only accepted if made in writing or by e-mail.
Cancellations should be made no later than 10 days
before the estimated date of delivery. If cancellation is not made
within this period, then the order will be considered valid and
the Customer will remain liable for the full payment.
- PLANNING
LAWS
Please
note that certain buildings may be subject to planning permission or
building control. Whilst we are happy to provide the Customer with diagrams
or build-sizes of the various types of building, it is entirely the
responsibility of the Customer to look into the planning regulations
relevant to his area and to complete the necessary paperwork, if required
to do so. Gillies & Mackay Ltd will take no responsibility for the
erection of buildings where the correct permissions have not been sought
and which may later be subject to a removal order by the relevant planning
department.
- FINALLY
We
reserve the right to decline an order and to alter the designs and/or
specifications without prior notice. Such changes would be made in order
to upgrade and improve the existing designs. The designs of the buildings
and of any publications or web-based material are copyright Gillies
& Mackay Ltd.
